Christmas/Birthday Gifts From One Of My Best Friends

Hi-ho!  It's highly unusual for me to post again so soon but I'm hoping to fix that.
So, the 16th is my 21st Birthday and, yesterday, I got a package from my 'sis', Monica, containing both my Christmas and Birthday gifts so I wanted to share pictures with you.

A gorgeous snowflake ornament!

Body lotion and shower gel which smell divine!

Pumpkin pie candle (which also smells divine!).

A make-up brush set.

Gorgeous and soft afghan she and her Mom made for me.

Beautiful ruffle edge which her Mom did:)

Y'all don't reckon I LOVE pink, do you? ;)
God has blessed me with the best friends and family ever!

Hope you don't mind my short post.  Ciao!

God bless and keep you!

Hope Chest

Howdy!  To my faithful readers (though you be few, LOL!), I'm sorry I haven't written for awhile.  Believe it or not, I keep meaning to write, but ya know.

Anyways, I have a temporary Hope Chest (I had to use a pink plastic box before, lol;)) and my friend, Meghan, wants to know what it looks like so I thought I would finally get around to posting some pictures of it;)
It's actually my Mommy's cedar chest but she told me I could use it until I have one of my own.  I'm so excited because Chris is going to make me one sometime and that's so awesome!

So, here it is with nothing on it.  Isn't it pretty???  And it smells divine!!

I just had to decorate it a bit because I don't like plain surfaces.  So, I have a tea-set, a pretty box (it was actually a box for a travel coffee mug that my Mommy got me at the Family Christian Store awhile ago, but I thought it was soooo pretty that I just had to put it there!!), a hand-held fan that my 'sis', Monica, got me, a little blue dish, and one of my favorite porcelain dolls!  Oh, they're all sitting on top of my pink baby blanket:)

Here's what the inside looks like.

My two babydolls that I took EVERYWHERE when I was little, Michelle and Chastity (though, their nicknames are Mitzy and Chaz)!!  Yes, I gave them voices and they were my 'little sisters'.  When my brothers and I were in school, Mommy would always have to take them with her wherever she went (though they didn't go in places with her) because I didn't want them to be home alone.  Mitzy has a little bit of an eye problem as you can tell.  She's one of those dolls that would close her eyes when you her laid her down, well something happened to them so Mommy and Chris once took "eye-drops" (superglue;)) to fix the problem.  Oh, the stories I could tell!

Anyway, I hope you all enjoyed this little venture once again into my Hope Chest!

So, let's see if there's anything new with us.  Monday-Thursday, Mommy, Chris, and I went to Memaw and Grandpa's everyday to do some work for them, which is always awesome just so we can be with them and they're always SO appreciative which totally makes it worthwhile!  It's just so fun to be with them and awesome when we can see them so often!  God has truly blessed us!
Chris had to use a power washer on their deck so we could paint it soon and it was a blessing that he finished it yesterday because it's raining today and is supposed to continue for like the next 4 days:)  God is so Good!!

You all have a blessed day!
God bless!

Placemats & Earring Sets

So I keep meaning to put a picture up here of the Birthday gift my friend, Meghan, gave me:)
They are place mats and they will go quite well with my decor someday as it will be all Victorian (if that's alright with my future hubby)!:

Sorry about the dark picture.  They're soooo pretty!!!

Also, we have our own little ebay store where we sell some handmade things and some, well, not handmade things.  Anyways, I make earrings and finally got around to taking pictures of them and Mommy put them up in our store.  I had to be creative because I don't have the things that other people have to hang the earrings on, so here's what I did:

I took two little boxes, put pretty handkerchiefs on top so they would look pretty, put a pretty shiny pen sitting on top of the boxes, folded up a little white blanket and stuck it in the back there, and put all of that on top of my lap desk!  It works so well!

I never really wrote with this pen because it's so thin and it wasn't very comfortable to hold and now it has a real purpose!  God works in mysterious ways:)

They sit perfectly on the pen!

So yep, that's my little 'set' for my earrings:)  What do you think??

God is soooo Good!!!  He has blessed us with gorgeous weather!  The sky is a clear blue, the sun is shining and it's not too cold outside, how wonderful!

"Praise God from Whom all blessings flow, praise Him all creatures here below, praise Him above ye Heavenly Host, praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost!"

I hope you all have a wonderful day, resting in the Lord!

God bless!
Grace be with you all!

My Hope Chest

Howdy peeps!  My friend, Meghan, has asked me to take pictures of the stuff in my Hope Chest, so I finally got around to doing it :)
I think it's very important for a young lady to have a Hope Chest, no matter her age.  That way she can have things to decorate her house and have things for her kitchen and other things for her little ones someday.  She can make her house feel like a home to her hubby and all who enter it.  It's so much more special, I think, to decorate your house with your own handmade things and I think your hubby will like it too and feel special that you made it partly for him :)
Ok, let's start my little tour:
First we will start off with a few little toys that I played with as a child and wanted to save for my girls :)

REAL Polly Pockets!!!!

A little Precious Moments Nativity.

My baby spoon, lol.

A little Precious Moments doll.  (I LOVE Precious Moments!).

One of my little critters I had as a baby :)

Kitchen items.  There are bowls in bubble wrap and measuring spoons in bubble wrap.  I didn't really want to fool with removing the bubble wrap and then putting it back.  All the red things, my bff and 'sis', Monica gave me for this last Christmas :)  Oh and then there's a pink rubber spatula and a rolling pin :)

Handkerchiefs and pink flour sacks.

A hand mirror from my Daddy's side of the family.  It's old, lol, I can't remember who's it was.  The fan my Mommy got when she went to Hawaii several years ago (before we ever came along ;)) and the afghan she made for my cousin Jeremy when he was a baby but never finished it.

My Above Rubies magazines.  I always save an extra one when we get them and put it in my Hope Chest.

Journals that I filled up starting in '02.  There are 10 of them.
Some stitcheries and a little quilt I have yet to start.

An apron Mommy and I made for me when I was a wee lass!  (Hard to believe I was ever that tiny, lol!).

A dress Mommy made me when I was little.  It's probably my favorite, I love the little jacket!

And another one.

And another one with a sash.

One more.
I'm hoping these will fit my girls someday :)
There were a few other little things, but one was in a taped little box and I didn't want to fool with that.
To tell you the truth, I don't have a Hope Chest.  I have two plastic 'Hope Boxes'.  I used to have a Hope Chest, but it kinda fell apart, so I need a new one :)
Ok, well I hope you enjoyed my little tour of my 'Hope Box'.

Goodbye for now!
God bless!
Grace be with you!

Ghostly Oil!

S'goin on folkies?  Ya know what's awesome?  God blessed us with MORE deer in our backyard yesterday!  I took some pictures:

That guy there was havin' a good ole time eatin' offa that branch, lol!
Chris and I actually saw 6 but I couldn't get all of them in the same picture.  Anyways, it was so dang awesome!

Oh, I wanted to show a picture of my candle that my friend, Monica, gave me for Christmas all lit up, 'cause it's so dang purdy! :

I took some pictures at night too, but they don't look very good so this is one I took in the daytime :)  Isn't it pretty????
I also made some Butterscotch Cookies and a Pecan Pie yesterday which are sooo dang good, lol!  Here's some pictures:

Some of the cookies BEFORE the frosting.

Now, AFTER the frosting :)
My Pecan Pie:

Oh yyyyeeeeaaaahhhh!!!!!!
I was putting oil in a frying pan last night for chicken and had to take picture of it because it looked like a ghostly face, so I did, yes I'm weird....but we've known that all along ;)

It looked better before but I didn't have my camera ready.
A few weeks ago I got a package in the mail from my second cousin, Della (Mommy's cousin), it was a Birfday gift from her!  I thought it was soooo sweet and I just LOVE it! :

She know-eth me so well!  I can NEVER have too many journals!
So ya know, Mommy and I went out for awhile today and had a swell time.  We went to Starbucks and we had to find my Celtic Thunder CD (which we found...I will post about that on a later date) and we also got some new tops which are sooo cute!

Anyways, I'll let you go now, so bye!

God bless!
Grace be with you!

My Birfday Celebrations

Hello people,
As some of you might know, my 20th Birfday was the 16th :)  Oddly enough, it does kind of feel weird to be 20.
So, for my 'celebration', Tommy came over for a visit and he got me some lovely flowers and a really cute card!  Observe:

Aren't they lovely???

Another view.

Isn't the card cute?

After awhile, Daddy decided he would take us all out for supper, but Tommy insisted he treat us :)  We went to El Rio Grande and had a wonderful time together!  It was kind of funny because we had a booth and Tommy, Chris, and I all sat on the same side (me squished in the middle, I wouldn't have had it any other way :)) and poor Chris was almost falling off the whole time!  It was all good craic though!

The day before my Birfday, I got a package in the mail from my bff and 'sis' (which is what we always call each other :)), Monica, it was my Christmas gift.  I told her I would like some things for my hope chest and this is what she got me:

Oh, they're just perfect!!  I think they'll go well in my Victorian kitchen ;)

She also got me a lovely candle that smells divine!:

Oh, I wish you could smell it, it's lovely!

Umm, I guess maybe a week or so ago I also got, from amazon.com, a little pink camera case for, guess what???  My CAMERA! ;)  Observe:

Isn't it cute?

Also, since I'm not eating chocolate anymore (at least that's how I feel about it now, more on that in another post ;)), we got a fruity sort of ice cream on my Birfday, on our way home from the restaurant.  Whilst eating it, I picked up a spoonfull and HAD to take a picture of it!  You'll see why:

Does anyone else but me think it looks like an eyeball???  Yeah, I'm sick ;)

One more thing.  I have the sweetest Grandmas in the world!  Ok, my Memaw is in Florida right now and my Mawmaw is still ya know, home.  Yet, they got me the same Birfday cards!  I did notice after a while that there was a slight difference (that being, one is pink, the other is purple), other than that they're exactly the same!  I took pictures of 'em:

(I apologize for the pictures not being very good.  I should've taken them in the daytime but, ya know, I didn't, so deal with it, lol;))!

God has blessed us with some awesome weather of late!  About a week or so ago, I had looked to see what the weather would be like on my Birfday and saw that it was going to be like cloudy and in the 30's.  However, it was actually like 44* and cloudy, might've rained too.  Anyway, Chris had asked me what my ideal weather would be for my Birfday and I told him that was it.  We're supposed to keep this nice weather for at least the next 10 days.  On the 23rd and 24th, it's supposed to be a high of 53*!

Do you peeps like my background?? ;)

God bless!
Grace be with you all!
